I am new to Packard, but isn't he about $10,000 too high on the price, or are unrestored 120 originals really worth that much?

That 36 is running according to the ad, but I think you're right about the price being a little high. The problem is that even if you get that car for free you still will be upside-down after a total restoration.

BigKev and BDC:

You guys are ruthless! Mortgage my house and dump my wife for a 1929 Packard? Maybe the advice that I have received in here in the past may require a major rethinking!

Recalling that the mortgage is in both of our names, that idea won't fly.

Bummer ...

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...

MrBumble, that's not ruthless, it's creative thinking! You've got to think outside the box. I've never said to get rid of your wife, you need her to ride with you so you can show her it was worth it.

Hmmm, enough nonsense; if you've to get rid of your wife in order to get a car you're nuts, I agree. I wouldn't trade mine for nothing.

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

A 1937 5 window coupe. Obviously from the cowl back is not a 37, and as short as the reardeck is I'm pretty sure it's not packard.
