If you can't find the modern type seal I wouldn't be too concerned, when properly installed the graphited rope seal is typically good for the life of the engine.

Yes, a properly installed rope seal usually does the job.

Getting a rope seal properly installed is problematic these days, I fear. At any rate, I'll give the new version a trial. The check goes into the mail today, Jack.
