Is it possible to restore a pre-war dash without taking it out of the car?

It's original and still very decent but I was thinking of redoing it. It's an estate sale Packard I got that I'm going to sell as I'm not a huge pre-war fan. 1939 6 cyl conv

If you only plan to sell it then I suggest leaving it alone. A poorly done regrain would detract worse than an original but worn /faded dash it seems to me. Regraining the dash in the car will be very difficult.

If it is woodgrain-then clean it will a furniture cleaner=be careful not to remove the paint-then hit it will a polyurethane (minwax or equivalent)-it is not restored but looks better.
