I need help. If anyone has one could you please take a picture showing how the vacuum line runs to the wiper motor?

Thank you in advance.

I can't provide a picture, but the vaccuum line runs either through or right next to the driver's side windshield post, then comes back out near the top.

On that car the vacuum feed goes up through the windshield base, through the hinge, and through the post. A vacuum line then exits the windshield frame to power the motor.

It's a Packard special, but I think Pierce-Arrow was using the same deal along with a few other brands.

If you look over your parts you should see what I am talking about.

Tim Cole,

Thanks for the reply,

I removed the windshield and there isn't any holes in the base or hinge area for a line to run thru.

I wish I had a better picture, but as you can see from this original photo there is no external feed for the wiper. That is, it runs through the frame.

The wiper line comes out at the top of the base for the windshield frame, not the top of the windshield post. the line then runs up between the post and the windshield frame, makes a 90-degree turn toward the motor.

Note that this is not a roadster, but a Speedster, so the windshield does NOT fold down or out. I believe the line exits the same way, tho.
