Hi, saw this on the internet. I was wondering if Packard did paint this like that or someone else just playing around?

IMO, someone playing around and not that attractively. Almost looks like something a taxicab company would want or order though so who knows.

Only two tone Clipper photos I have seen depending on year or model have the spear down the center of hood or not, second color over the roof and either cut off below the rear window or carried down the trunk lid. Some years have the door frame around windows colored down to the belt molding and others do not.

If you think it looks undignified then it's not original. Above all else Packard had good taste

and that appears to be a Senior car suffering that paint job
