Howard, thanks for that.

Hmmm...For some reason, I thought it was a smaller diameter. I'll have to crawl under the dash and verify that.

I remember it being fairly wide but don't remember how long of length it takes. If you need more than a foot and want something not quite stock but a bit less expensive Amazon has some engine air duct that should work.

The size is confirmed at 3".

I wonder if something like this would work? You never see it as it so far up under the dash:

It is fairly thin vinyl material but if you can find that size rated for clothes dryer use as well as bathroom and humidifier vents it should withstand the heat OK. I believe Lowes and HomeDepot and probably Menards carry a thin 3" aluminum flex ducting that would work with the heat but that is more expensive.

They have this one as well. Just didn't want something noisy with the car moving around.

As long as it is clamped or even tie wrapped around the duct ports I doubt it would be noisy. I don't remember the exact routing but if it should rub up against something a thin strip of foam or piece of tape between the two should take care of it. No exposed electrical terminals are close by that I can remember but that would be another thing with the aluminum.

I just went with this as it's defroster ducting and Amazon will have it here this weekend:

Should do nicely. You must have got the last one as it says 1-2 month shipping when I opened the link.

It said only one left in stock before I bought it. But all the auto parts stores can order it also. This was just more convenient.

A/C duct was installed. Not getting a lot of air volume out of the defroster vents. I wonder if something is wrong inside the diverter box. Even with that flapper lever moves, I still get a lot of hot air out of the heater outlet on the passenger side.
