Watched the spark video and it appeared kind of strange with the varying intensity. Is this vehicle equipped with a ballast resistor? If so, I would check to make sure it is good and also that the ignition is properly grounded. I'm sure that Fred, et al, would not have let the vehicle go with any timing chain or carb issues, so I would lean to either bad fuel or wonky spark. Easiest and cheapest is to check and clean all major ground connections, then move on from there.

My dad was a master mechanic for Chrysler for 22 years and had owners of new cars throw a fit over only driving the car 50 miles and having to bring it in for service. It's mechanical and made by man.... again improbable ....sure....impossible....no.

Didn't realize that there were two different threads on the same subject. Found that out after I posted on this one and later read the other. Oh well, life goes on......
