Thanks jselph; looks like the screws are gone and a white tie wrap was keeping it together.
Will need another cover.

The screws go into a metal cast part of the carb, replacing the bakelite cover will not solve the stripped holes in the cast metal part. You will need to fix or replace the cast part

Thanks Fred.
I think that carb is completely blocked. I've got a 2 barrel Rochester. Can I bolt that on?

You can't just bolt on any 2 barrel carb to it. It would need to be for that engine displacement and flow rate (CFM).
I take it you have a 327 c.i. engine? John

Carb "completely" blocked, really not possible. Se my post #4, buy a service manual with a diagnostic section. Your problem could be anything from fouled plugs to bad gas in the tank

I was thinking just to try it with the 2 barrell carb to get it running.
Brakes are seized; doesn't seem to be a park position working as it rolls no matter where the shifter is, no interior,; so it's a ways from going down the road any time soon.
