My estimate of the eventual sale price was a bit low. Per the auctioneer, the car sold for $5000. Not bad for a green sedan.
I wonder how much, if any, the price would have changed if the car had been equipped with an Ultramatic.

Thanks for the update, someone got a good buy. $5K for a ready-to-enjoy 200 may be the going rate 65+ years out. Ultramatic might have affect the price positively, though stick with overdrive has greater appeal for many of us. Steve

Good afternoon...The Ultramatic might well help the price with folks starting out in the hobby, as the percentage of folks who can drive a manual transmission is reported as less than 10 percent'1

In this price range, I'd say a well-sorted Ultramatic is a plus, but a questionable one is a minus. That said, this is the epitome of entry-level Packard
