Water distribution tubes

Hi, I found these brass water distribution tubes while cleaning out my shed. I'm pretty sure one is for a 1954 359 cu. in. engine. Not sure what the other one is for. The long one (in good condition) is 34 1/4" and the shorter one (looks brand new) is 32 1/4". Anyone know which one is for the 359 engine, and would the other one fit a 1930's 320 cu. in. engine?

A big thanks to anyone who can help!

Steve

Neither fits a prewar 320 engine, they didn't use an internal tube. On that and the 385 motor the water distribution is accomplished by the external water jacket side plate. Likewise for other early motors with external water jacket plates.

Short one might be for a six or maybe the earlier 282 eight. If the long one is known to be a 359 item it is part number 351060 and will fit all postwar engines based on the 288/327 block and also the 40-50 356 engine.

Thank you Howard and Owen, since both tubes have 13 holes in them I'm guessing the shorter one is for the 282 engine - with a tube for the 6 cylinder would have less holes - maybe 9 or 11?
Oh and it slipped my mind but of course the older straight 8's have an external jacket!
