Cli55er, u are entirely correct. I'm guessing Kev's problem is new or different races, bearings or shaft.

* typo corrected.

ha ha ha ha ha h a! Try this one for a license plate: U812.

Sporaticaly over 16 years, i worked on Tennessee vehicle registration system for the state. They were constantly updaying the file with new words not allowed for personalized plates. They spent alot of time and research doing it. The "U812" was one that i never told them about. As far as i know no one has ever tried that one as of 6 years ago.

I talked to one of the commisioners one day requesting a BLANK plate. That is a plate with NO unique number but just the standard border and background. She said she would send me one. But what i got was one that said "SAMPLE". There were plenty of those sample types floating around in the office tho. I never pressed the issue for a blank one.

If you're gonna do that, then graft an Edsel grille onto the front.......

Kev. Does that mean u are going back together with the SAME parts u removed?????

Let me see if i understand this correctly:

When the axle shaft is placed into the axle housing and THEN the cup is put in place then the cup slides too far into the axle housing recess leaving a space between the outer end of the cup and the backing plate sans any shims.
