Hi RHowe, Re your routing question(s) I am not sure if your '37 is the same as 39/41, but I have attached a pic that was posted a while back by a '41 owner that shows the water/oil lines going through the firewall. The setup is exactly the same on my '39. Also, there is a grommet available that goes inside the rectangular 'frame' on the hole and I BELIEVE the wiring harness goes through the large hole in it, to the inside of the firewall. At any rate, you can check your car against the photo and see if yours is the same/similar. If yours is missing, one could easily make the gasket out of 1/4" closed cell foam or they can be ordered from Steele Rubber Products for a nominal fee. Hope this helps, Good luck. Chris.

The main wiring harness goes through an opening to the left of the dimmer switch and up behind the left kick panel inside the car to the instrument panel. Sorry but the photo quality is poor.
The oil pressure line goes up through a cutout in the lower firewall next to the speedometer cable and the hand throttle cable. The temperature capillary goes up through a similar cutout on the left side of the firewall next to the armoured cable for the ignition coil.

My thanks to both of you. Tomorrow I shall take this information and see if I can apply it to my present condition.
Again, my thanks.

Maybe these can help you out. These are from inside and outside. If you need help with Identifying the scene let me know.
