Hello Ramcuda,
I have a used sender unit from a 1937 115, you can have it for the same cost as the freight, that is half the total of freight from Australia to USA.If you are interested I can send you images of it. It has a cork float I would recommend you replace with a modern brass or plastic float. Regards Pepe Packard

This is a picture of my 37 115c fuel sensor,
The primary issue was the contact had stuck on place and the spring could not push it to contact the wire resistor. PM me and I'll send a series of Photos on how I shop repaired my unit. LArry

Hi Ramcuda,
Will send an image of the unit with the cork float, I think it was originally lacquer coated. Regards Pepe.

Morning, This is what I found when I rebuilt mine.
This appears to be a repair from years ago. The shellac appearance is probably from old fuel. I used cork from the HOME DEPOT to replace these.

Cork floats used in gasoline were traditionally coated with shellac to prevent the gasoline from saturating the cork. That's no longer a good practice as ethanol commonly in today's gasoline is a solvent for shellac.

I replaced my cork floats with modern metal reproductions from a ford model "whatever" website. The ford ones fit perfectly. No more cork. Don't remember the website... may be in my blog.

Hello Larry,
That looks exactly like mine, it also sank when saturated with fuel, I used a brass float from a carby to fix it. Regards Pepe.
