OD,
Sorry to so late responding...just now checked emails before turning in. I sent pictures to my mechanic and asked if the bolts match up with this new find and he said yes. But, the volume area in the head looked to be a bit greater. How can I tell if this is indeed a Packard 8 head, or a Super 8 head ? Tom

Tom, compare length measurements. The Super 8 has a larger bore so the head and engine block are significantly longer (and wider).
