For what its worth, based on previous in metal forming experience, my guess is that what appears to be a crack, could very well be a defect in the metal used to form the pulley, and has been present since it was formed. If my guess is correct and it has not progressed it is unlikely to do so.

If there is a question I would have it magnafluxed or just find another. I have seen the damage done to the radiator when the rubber fails and the pieces of the damper separate. It is not pretty and if there is a crack that caused a similar separation I imagine the results would be no different.

Picked one up from Gerry .psw.

Looks like the second crank pulley for a 55-56 PS car. Likely there since new & a low stress application.
But if available for reasonable, may as well replace...
