A book much needed to assist in documenting in book-form the fabulous V-8 Packards of 1955-56. Lavishly illustrated, primarily in color, this edition is based on the 19 Packards from the V-8 era, and three from other periods of Packard's production. Laced with personal stories, some of them humorous, this is a must for any Packard collector. Make sure you enter the entire title on Amazon "Books" when ordering: "Packard and Clipper, 1955-56: Confessions of a Collector." Happy reading!

Does the book contain a chapter about the Soviet cousin ZIL?

I just finished the book and enjoyed it a lot.

No ZIL content -- that will have to wait for someone else's book. But if you like personal stories well-told, many of which you can identify with yourself, then you'll enjoy this chronology of cars and Southern towns and family characters. And yes -- there is "the one that got away." Haven't we ALL been there?!?
