Thursday morning. Drove an hour and 20 minutes from Potomac,MD to Parkton,MD, home of Ross Miller's Speedwell Garage to improve road worthiness, check maintenance items, and a couple repairs. Not very interesting, other that to observe freeways are starting to get busy again.

Good afternoon...Miss Prudence and I got a wild hair and took off for breakfast at a little place down the road called 'Over Easy'. Prucence had a good outing and charged up her battery and I had two saussages and one pancake oh and a couple of cups of coffee...all in all, a great way to start the day...I used to meet David Packard...but I don't think that he is back on the road yet. Ernie in Arizonaq

My first little tour in Potomac MD to White's Ferry, which takes you from Maryland to Virginia. The owners on each side are in a dispute over what to charge to cross the Potomac, so the two counties, one in MD and the other in VA, are trying to negotiate an agreement, too. Needless to say, the ferry is closed for now.

Being the only Packard on this tour, and one of maybe 3 pre-war cars, won the Duchess much attention. The instigator of the tour, Chuck McDonald has a Packard just out of the shop, but not road-ready this morning.

We had a demonstration of an Amphicar.

In case you got a page not found, Chuck changed the link to the still photos.

Thanks, Ernie and Chris. Chuck took the stills of the group and car owners.and it’s an Amphicar not an Aquaman. Plus we had a Batmobile.
If you refresh your browser and play it again, you’ll get music.

I'm 'at sea' on the sailboat, Joe and my onboard internet is barely fast enough to view the stills. I'll have to wait 'til I get home before I can play the vid! LOL Chris.

Chuck McDonald, the local cheerleader for cars and coffee has his Packard on the road and it's a beaut.

So comforting to find another Packard guy.
