Hi all,

Just wanted to share a new addition to the inventory.

A Packard data ID plate on embossed/etched zinc with red and black enamel paint and 2K clear coat. The letters, ovals and designs are raised off the surface – not flat like some other reproductions.

Size is approximately 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 in.

Crin, very nice.

Based on the text (twelve hundred patents), that plate was in use for a very short time, late 12th thru early 14th Series cars. Of course the red enamel you've chosen for the emblem would have originally been black.

Thank you. I realize the red wasn't there but I just couldn't resist.

I have others that I'm working on for different years.

Would you mind if I post the samples I have in an effort to identify what years they were used on? That would be a great help!

Packard historian Jim Balfour has privately published an extensive analysis of Packard patent and vehicle number plates from 1900 thru 1956. I have a copy and with his permission I'd be glad to use it to identify any plates you may wish information on.
