Appreciate your making the time to take and post the photos. Good views of the trans with intact switches and that adapter piece don't come by very often.

It is prewar due to the fact that it has only has two motor-mount bolts on each side. the later transmission use four so that they could be used to replace the early ones. This unit will not mount in a 22nd series or later postwar car with out modifying the mounts. I believe it is linked to the change to the 282 to 288 engine change.
