I am working on my '37 120 but I doubt it is unique to a large range of Packards. While disassembling the transmission and cleaning all the parts I noticed this oil cup well on the throwout bearing collar that has drill holes to oil the main shaft neck as well as a smaller hole thru to the bearing itself. I am supposing it takes engine oil. Please let me know if this is correct or if it uses another lube. Also, what kind of frequency?

Just smear a little bearing grease on the input shaft sleeve. The throwout bearing itself is permanently lubricated. There is no way to access those lube holes once all is assembled. I have actually never seen such.

So it turns out if you read the Owner's Manual all will be revealed!

Clutch Shifter Bearing:
The clutch shifter thrust bearing is packed with lubricant and sealed and should not require attention. Should bearing become noisy, a hand oiler with long curved nozzle may be used to reach the well in bearing housing after removing the steel pan at bottom of bell housing. A teaspoonful is sufficient for one oiling. Do not overoil.
