Greetings. Just wanted to wish everyone on this forum a Happy Halloween! Here for your consideration are some Packard hearses now for sale on various internet sites. Should you be ghoulish enough to take on any of these projects, your bank account will likely be haunted for years to come!
1951 Henney 3 way from Ebay Motors: This one appears to be the same model used in the 1980 cult classic horror film "The Hearse" starring Trish Van Devere and Joseph Cotten. A young woman moves to a small town after inheriting an estate from her late aunt only to be repeatedly terrorized by a demonically possessed Packard hearse. It turns out that her late aunt worshipped Satan and evil forces now want to take the young woman's soul. Two identical 1951 Henneys were used the film, including the one destroyed in the climactic scene where the hearse goes over a cliff and explodes in a huge fireball. ebay.com/itm/134305885778?hash=item1f454 ... d=5337650957&customid=&toolid=10049 Rare 1953 Henney Junior hearse/funeral car. Actually the coach shown in the movie was a mishmash of years and was likely not a Nu-3-Way as the one on eBay is. It was probably an end-loader as they are called when the rollers are built directly into the floor. For many years I had a virtually identical 1952 version of the eBay car that even won Best in Class at a PAC national meet, not that there was much competition!
