Frankensteining Ultramatic

Here is the situation: not including my 400, I have a 55 Twin Ultramatic, a second one for parts, and a 56 Hudson-style Ultramatic. I suspect the 56 will be in the best shape to rebuild and I would prefer the aluminum body.
Question is, could I replace the propeller shaft + details on a 56 Hudson Ultramatic with 55 parts, and use it in a 55 Clipper Deluxe? Pictures of the 56 trans below.

Thanks. I think I’ll piece it together before buying a rebuild kit.
Speaking of which, where do people tend to get those? Looks like the choice is between Kanter and Fatsco, and Fatsco has two options. Fatsco regular: ebay.com/itm/182854943813 Fatsco bigger: ebay.com/itm/283665648792 Looks like the difference between them is just the steel high clutch plates. I’ve heard that those only need to be replaced if they’re burnt up / damaged, so I think I will inspect that first. The Kanter kit appears much the same as the Fatsco bigger kit, but is 20% cheaper. Kanter doesn’t itemize particularly well so I’m not sure if there is stuff missing in comparison. kanter.com/p-35860-packard-ultramatic-rebuilding-kit-1955-1956.html
