Gents,

Thanks to all of you. I did indeed reinstall as directed using the method Packard suggested. The "new" radiator is in & it is working fine. I'm also using a Murray 13 lb cap.

Interesting thread, I will save the info and see once I get mine on the road if it will cool. I'm running a straight 8 radiator, which fits perfectly and is a little longer. It also has a unique cap which is 7lbs pressure. The inlet is on the wrong side for a Pack V8, but I'm running a Cad 472 so it matches up perfectly. When I get it roadworthy I will see if it overheats.

I just did this mod on my Clipper and wrote up instructions for it.

If someone would be kind enough to read through these and check for basic errors and clarity, I would appreciate it.

Once it's good I will send it to Kev to add to the Literature Archive.

Let me clarify, as I didn't realize how far mixed up this thread got.

I did this modification:https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=5042&post_id=54115#forumpost54115

So it's a Ford truck radiator in my Clipper.

Please check out the document 2 posts up.
