Hi folks, I am slowly getting a ‘barn find’ 1929 up and running. The motor is now running well and I am moving onto the brakes. The wheels turn but I would like to take the drums off to check things. I cannot figure out how to get the drums off and cannot seem to see where to put a puller. What obvious thing am I missing??

The puller screws onto the hubcap thread with a pinch bolt to clamp it tight and jt has a large centre bolt pressing on the end of the axle. The hubs can be very tight on the axle taper.

unscrew the Packard hubcap and you can see the axle nut, remove cotter key, loosen nut. then you are ready for puller. Good luck
