One final postscript on some of this - Peter Toet is no stranger to NewZealand Packard adventures - if you noted my answer to "What single item you would bring on a Packard tour?" was "a Mechanic". Peter was my trusted mechanic for no less than 1,9xx miles of touring in NZ, with only squeakly wipers unresolved. Well, actually we did resolve them....turned them off.

And as for the 2026 tour, the dates are set, March something or other, certainly will update at the appropriate time.
