Anti siphon valve installed

Haven't driven it far. A trip to homo depot.

It started right up.

Sat. Another jaunt up to Ramona. So that will test it... up a good grade.

New tank.
Pretty sure they are 51-54 thanks selling as 55,56

Here's my point. Besides the air vent.. the gasket fir sending unit is bigger

My 400 tank uses a 2 inch ID. It was way to small.

I used it but had to super glue so I could keep it centered. It still f d up.

But. The tank solved my bucking..

Sending unit f.d up. Have 2 on the way. Amazon type and a Dennis carpenter unit.

Picture Dennis carpenter unit.
54 bucks plus shipping.
Amazon
33 bucks. Same style as Packards

Picture Dennis carpenter unit
54 bucks
Amazon 33. But has the same style as Packards unit
Both Ford. With the part number Kevin has in part reference.

Float 1957 Thunderbird and a few other FoMoCo products of the era, tank same from 1952-1956 and will fit 1951 but without fill whistle. Anti-siphon valves are a waste of time as the fuel isn’t siphoning. Instead it is evaporating from the carburetor bowls. With the bowls full, it will start and pump when it needs to keep running.
