So this one is the 2 to 2¼, same as Packard?

What is the 2⅛ to 2⅜ one?

The one I have marked .

Top line.

After market tanks it's different.

I can send you mine. I don't need it.

Ok

Carpenters unit. The drop is way out of wack.

The Amazon one is pretty close.

So I'll use carpenters float.. it has that protection for float.

I think mine. Kept hitting top of tank. Which must have rust and wore thin

Thank you but I'm good on the seal for now Riki. Bought one earlier from Joel Ray but I may need some more later.

Can you send the Amazon item for the fuel tank sender?

Thanks for the pictures of the floats Riki. The comparison is helpful. The Amazon unit looks very similar to the ones sold from the normal vendors. The float arm angle is close to the same, but it's shorter and that throws things off. On my Panama it showed completely empty when there were 5 gallons in the tank. It just wasn't long enough to reach the level of the fuel. I bent the arm slightly to help with that by now it reads off the gauge when full.

I don't have my original sender around anymore to measure off of, but I wonder about cutting the arm and extending it? I'd love to get some accurate readings. Of course with an access hole cut in my trunk floor I guess all I need to do it pop out the sender to see what the actual fuel level is....

I should have made this thread before reinstalling my fuel tank... oh well. I'll pull the one from my parts car sometime. I'm sure the tank will be junk anyway.

I should buy that fuel sender and install that sometime.
