I am new so hope I am not doing this wrong
I just picked up a 1953 Clipper Deluxe and the entire trunk latch and lock assembly is missing, and I also cannot find the driver side taillight housing in all the parts that came with it

Any help would be greatly appreciated this is the first Packard I have ever owned, and it is in partially restored condition but running and driving

On the left there is a link called "Directory" where you can find a list of vendors.

What part of the world are you in? Someone near you may have a parts car with what you need. I have a trunk latch assembly, but I've robbed the lock out of it. I don't have any tail light housings, mine are different than yours.

I have a '53 Cavalier, you'll love your Clipper Deluxe!

Pretty much every vendor has those latches.

I have a spare lens but it's very faded.

I have the latch mechanism from a 1954 Patrician but not the outside bezel which would be different on your car. As others have said, it should be a common and easy to find part and the same for the taillight. For the latch, once you find one with or without a key, you may even be able to find a new old stock lock-set that is already properly keyed which will fit the trunk and the glove box.

Thanks for your comment! I have 3 keys for my Cavalier right now because I replaced the trunk lock with the one from my parts car. I hadn't even thought about swapping the glove box lock from my parts car as well. That will make my keys correct for my car! A small thing, but the closer to factory correct my car is, the better!

Glad to have helped and I just went through the same thing! Now my car has a proper set of Packard Motor Car Company keys and all NOS locks.

Incidentally, the supposed NOS ignition lock that one of our dealers sells is actually NORS (New Old Replacement Stock) and doesn't have the key-code stamped on as the original ignition tumblers do and it has other little differences as well.
