Difference Between Autolite 4502s?

Merry Christmas everyone!

Do any of you know what the differences are between the Autolite IGP 4502 distributors?

My 22nd Series has a 4502B, but I see others with units having different alpha suffixes (C, D, & E), and I'm wondering if they are just the same distributor made at different times, or there are substantial electrical differences between them.

Thanks for your help!

I had a similar question on my 1940 110. If you look in the parts book you find the listing for the distributors that were used for your car. It must have had somthing to do with parts availability, thre were three used in my car and was told in the Packard forum that they were similar but not exactly the same with the exception that the points setting and condensor were the same. Also the points were interchangable.

When only the suffix is changing, the difference will be in the advance curves. They will take the same points and condensor.
