Dampner done. Had to go under and vise grip the flywheel. This doesn't have any balance holes.

That's better
The way Terrill measures fan mount distance. 4 inches +,- . I'm a little over 4 inches. I used a starret ruler. Little piece i made to hold bearing shaft. Impeller side. And the Packard bushing tool works perfect to hold little piece. Attach file: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Dash gauges.
After messing around with speed 0 cable. Lost my gauges. . So had options. Pull the dash. Or a quickie.. Dc,DC converters.. Had some for my trains.. found out that wire that is in series , is ground. Popped my converter... Grabbed another. Set 5 volts. Touched, out voltage. Noticed converter light dim. Positive. So then tried negative side. Looked and gas gauge was pegged full. Which made since. Since the pink wire from fuse block is power.. This was done with just the battery.. Next will be to pull the pink wire at fuse block.. add a pink wire to converter. See if that works.. So, the positive on converter out is not used. . The negative wire at regular is cloth insulation. Which is coming off. So will slip some shrink over it. Key on.
Gas gauge works. Haven't started it yet. But. Connection is Positive voltage out goes to gauges. Black wire i think. Positive pink is positive in. From fuse box. Ground . In and out ground to body.

The Ford guys were having issues with the Napa sending unit.
Which i have too. This was the original part number.. Ford. Mercury. Etc. One of these days I'll try it.
