Could be a sticky valve or a burned or warped valve. Either one is easily remedied at low cost, maybe no cost. I'd put the 350 in a 1970 Chevy shortbed half ton... or a late 60's Nova...

Cylinder 7 has low compression, it runs fine but I don’t want to put any money into it anymore.. I have a rebuilt running sbc 350 with a trans on standby ready to go..
The Ultramatic also runs fine, I just don’t need it..

Pull the plug and put 1tbsp engine oil in it then check the compression again. If it's better, it's a ring problem. Otherwise a valve problem. These engines are not very hard to work on and are reliable overall. I know a guy that drove for 220,000 miles on the original engine before the compression dropped too low for it to start. Original Ultramatic as well.

Is that a ‘51 Patrician? I think that’s a hydraulic pump on the firewall? I don’t think ‘51 Patricians had hydraulic pumps for a top or windows. Is this car a convertible? Could we possibly see a picture of the whole car?

The same hydraulic pump was also used for power windows and seat. Electric power seat (4-way) didn't appear until 1954 and electric windows didn't appear until 1955.

It is a hydraulic pump, with power windows and seats.
I have a ton of paperwork for the car from the original owner.. Im trying to upload images but it keeps telling me that the files are too large.. Once I figure it out I will post them
