What's with people hiding their license plates? Anyone can see your license plates when your diving your car.

The 1955 is probably a repaint? Or is water giving it some extra shine? ![]() The 1956 - I was unable to get any information from the seller, what so ever, including where the car is currently located (because it is not where the listing is). Not sure what the deal is, here. It was listed for a while, now, and no takers. Maybe he does not even have a car? ![]() Quote:
I bet these are just copy cats. Flippers/scammers probably started doing this so that you cannot readily identify the car (for "valid" reasons, such as stolen pictures or mark-up listing etc.) and everyone else followed the herd because, apparently, "everyone is doing this"... ![]()

The Onieda hoard I have thought about going to, but really how much more stuff can I use...? Especially when Mike Dulinski is slowly liquidating his stockpile.
The 56 I also never got a response back. The pictures seem a bit odd to me.

Can't stop posting Packards that I find for sale online! Here are a few new ones. On May 2, 1949, Packard introduced the 23rd "Golden Anniversary" series, so we are just past the 76th anniversary. To celebrate, these postings are all 23rd series cars:
1949 Club Sedan. Abandoned restoration project being sold by an estate. In primer. Body looks solid and car is complete. Some trim has been removed. Asking $3,800. Wallingford, CT: facebook.com/marketplace/item/1255876115971803 1950 Standard Eight sedan. Not running. Head is off engine. Needs full restoration but body does look very straight and complete. Dash is nice and parts of interior may be useable. Has accessory sunvisor. Asking $3K. Maryland: facebook.com/marketplace/item/1868726550599531 1949 (23rd Series) Club Sedan. Rough project car or parts. Think it is a Standard Eight. See quite a bit of rust. Appears rocker on driver's side is about completely gone and interior is totally trashed. Some side trim is damaged or missing. Maybe a street rod project? Seller asking $2,500. Indiana: facebook.com/marketplace/item/1204859137998196 1949 (23rd Series) Sedan. Stripped out body shell. Might be some good cut out sections, but that's about it. Somebody stripped this for another project. Asking $600. Ohio: facebook.com/marketplace/item/271330136040253 1950 Sedan. Either a Standard or Deluxe. Repainted a horrible color blue, looks like it is an old Earl Schreib job as I seem to recall them using a color like this for their bargain specials. Runs but needs a lot. Asking $5K. Florida: facebook.com/marketplace/item/921428822795216/ 1950 Standard Eight sedan. Looks pretty good. Useable original interior and decent chrome. Body looks solid but poor quality repaint looks faded and deteriorated. Ad states car runs and stops. Asking $4,800. Virginia: facebook.com/marketplace/item/9693195614105965 1949 (23rd Series) Deluxe Eight Club Sedan. Restored car which runs and drives great. Was restored in 1985 with new black paint, chrome and interior. Has been owned by the same individual for the past 50 years. Looks beautiful but interior was done in modern fabric and does not look quite correct. A nice driver. Asking $27K. Nashville, TN: facebook.com/marketplace/item/9122050521234501 1950 Custom Eight Sedan. Very solid Western body. Needs paint and interior work. Ad states engine is free. Chrome looks pretty good actually. Has Ultramatic Drive and original script Packard spotlight and backup lights. Original jack, spare and service manuals included. The manuals are factory originals and not reprints. Asking $5,500. Colorado: facebook.com/marketplace/item/2462646430743781/ 1950 Standard Eight Sedan. Very original survivor car with original maroon paint and interior. Dash and chrome look very nice. Ad stated compression is low in two cylinders, so it will need a rebuild. Think this is a very fair deal at the asking price of only $3,500. Granby, TX. facebook.com/marketplace/item/1469502701100224 1949 (23rd Series) Standard Eight. Very nice original survivor car except for paint. Car was repainted light cream, but ad states original gold paint is still visible on the fire wall and under rubber mouldings. This must be one of the Golden Anniversary cars used in the driveaway promotion in 1949. Asking $13,500. Ravenna, TX: facebook.com/marketplace/item/1053989210090132 1950 Sedan (Not sure of model). Abandoned and rusty field hen. Asking $900. Seller also has a 1951 Nash sedan in similar condition for $1,500. Think it is a Statesman model. Hannibal, MO: facebook.com/marketplace/item/740993317387338 1949 (23rd Series) Deluxe Eight Sedan. Clean car. Redone interior looks good, but not quite correct. Decent looking paint and chrome. Runs and drives. Has accessory sun visor. Asking $4,500. Arizona. Seems like a good deal. You could do much worse for this kind of money. Arizona: facebook.com/marketplace/item/644146938601435 1950 Sedan. Pretty sure it is a Super Eight as it has the Senior taillight lenses and the longer hood of the senior models. Very solid car. Has been in storage since 2008 and is not running. Asking $10K. Idaho: facebook.com/marketplace/item/1930089980855211 and one more: 1948 22nd Series Deluxe Eight Sedan (Model No. 2262) that at some point had the 23rd Series side trim added. Very beautiful survivor car with original paint (Light Grey) and interior. Seller has original paperwork on the car including the original bill of sale. Car was sold by the Packard-Louisville Motor Co. of Louisville, KY on September 30, 1948, to a Mrs. Grace G. Coleman. Mrs. Coleman paid $2,887.19 for her Packard and it included a Deluxe Radio, heater and defroster, and foam rubber seat cushions; a $20 option. Odometer now showing 63,826. Asking $12,500.
