Is this a Packard? If not, what is it? If it is a Packard, what year and model?

It is NOT a Packard as was already stated on Facebook. It will not be more of a Packard when posting it here! It appears to be a GM product of some sort or maybe even an AI creation as I can find nothing with the same details.

Yes, I'm also guessing AI. The excellent depth of field (the tree, car, and garage are all almost equally sharp) suddenly disappears in the area of the license plate.
And oops, there's a door hinge in the window area, while the beltline drifts downwards.

I've searched the Internet and nothing like it or even close so if not AI, then artful retouching! As for the Facebook post of it being a 1940 110, impossible. First, there were no Packards with the vee'd bumper and none without luggage racks that had the high up license holder. Those with the license holder high up, such as 1939 or 1940 with the luggage rack, the plate was above it rather than below and they had a T-type handle for the lid. The sidelines are disproportionate too with the rain gutter dipping down oddly as it moves rearward. Packard's would have been parallel to the beltline. Too much else wrong to even bother mentioning but even at a glace, it looks nothing like a Packard insofar as cars of the era mostly had the same basic shape anyway with only a few exceptions.

It's not AI, my son took the picture himself yesterday and sent it to me thinking maybe it was a Packard, and it is Parckardish, but not really. Nor can I find anything that looks just like it on the internet and now it's just made my curious. It's possible that it's not an all original car, that is maybe bumper, tail lights etc are from different models, or even brands of cars. Who knows what all has happened over the past 85 years.

Mystery solved! I asked the past president of our club if he recognized the car, which he did because it used to be his! It's a 1940 Packard 160 7 passenger.
