Unsure about 1936, 1934 version is two-piece (excluding the locking hardware).

Need to know which years and models you are inquiring about. A picture of what you have or what you are describing or what you are looking for helps immensely.

There are two piece (senior, mascot body and cap) for seniors, 1932-38; Juniors also two piece, (body + base); special super 8 body + cap/base from 37-38 (straight deco sweeping back wings).

In 1939, Packard moved to a 3-piece (body, glass insert etched with deco wing lines, base).

There are many variants based on model.

A bit more specific guidance would be helpful.

DM,

Thanks for the response.

1936 1402 is what I was particularly interested in and if it was shared with other years, i.e. '35 -38??

None that I'm aware of...realize that when we say "2 pieces" we mean both the goddess mascot/ornament body plus the base radiator cap assembly (not counting the radiator seals, gaskets, belleville washer that seal the radiator coolant in).

Some sleuthing: The 1402 "Eight" does appear to use the same basic plain radiator cap part number as the Super 8 and the Twelves did for 1936: see part number search atpackardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/parts ... &SearchValue=215091&ButtonLookup=Go

This implies that all radiator caps for the Super 8 and Twelve will fit the 1402 Eight, so...are you coming to the nationals this week in KC? I will have one there (original cap/goddess masterfully replated) as well as just the goddesses without the bottom cap.

Let me know

Unfortunately I don’t know the era of the models in question but I’ve seen aftermarket ornaments that are one piece without a base that distantly resemble them.

As for the comment quoted above, on my original 1939 Packard Six, the head was a separate piece that was the nut that held it all together with a long bolt from underneath the body. Other than the hardware, that would be four pieces including the base and glass.

Thanks for the sleuthing DM. That is what I had suspected.

Unfortunately, I am not going to make KC. It that a part you are trying to sell?
