Just an FYI guideline as a worst case scenario if your local shop can't fix the old one and says you need a new core. There might be others who do repros but this one comes to mind for some reason.

I found for mine, that the new core from Brassworks was only about 20% more than having my old one re-cored. And, that was when there was a local radiator shop to do it and I didn’t have shipping both ways. That shop, the last radiator shop in the Kansas City area, just closed.

If you do decide to get one from Brassworkd, they don’t build it until ordered. I highly recommend that you send your old core to them so that they can match the exact locations of the tubes. I didn’t do that and the tubes were very close, but wouldn’t quite fit in the heater housing and didn’t quite line up with the firewall holes.

They were good to work with and I sent it back, along with my original core, and they got it match up. They even covered the shipping both ways for the rework.
