One of the differences between the early and later 282 engine is the lifter covers. I have the lifter cover for the newer one and need the early one or modify the ones I have. Mine have a scalloped baffle at the bottom. If the older one has something similar I might be able to modify what I have.
As always any help would be appreciated.

I parted out a 282 engine many years ago but not sure if I have the valve covers or not or even what they look like. I have a box of covers but unfortunately my shop is all locked up as I'm traveling tomorrow and won't be back for a couple months.
