Saw these for sale in my area today:

1956 Executive sedan. Decent looking original car. Needs interior work. Not too bad for the asking price of $5,500. Ad states car runs and drives. Watertown, NY (Western part of the state near the Canadian border; was up that way once years ago):

1954 Patrician. Body looks pretty solid. Drive train intact. Not running. Parts or restore. Front of car partially dismantled. Asking $2,500. Pennsylvania:

1937 115C Touring Sedan. Abandoned restoration project. Owner passed away in 2018 and son now wants to sell. Much work completed including complete engine rebuild, repainting of frame and chassis parts and painting of body shell. Still needs interior work and painting of doors, hood, trunk and fenders. Seller has extra parts plus new rubber running board mats. Data plate indicates car was originally sold by the Waterbury, CT Packard agency. My first Packard, a '40 110 sedan, was from that agency (Packard-Waterbury, Inc.). Seller asking $12K. Presque Isle, Maine:

Couple of really nice ones.

1939 120 Convertible sedan. Nice restoration with lots of chrome. Guy went all out and chromed some things that he probably shouldn't have. Fully chromed side mount covers and head lamp shells? Wonder what that cost? See a few small details which might warrant attention, but at $48K, I think this one is fairly priced. Texas:

1928 526 Convertible Cabriolet. Older restoration. Like everything about it except for the non-authentic paint scheme. Runs well and fuel system was recently rebuilt. Car is in Ontario Province and asking price is $76K CDN which converts to about $51K U.S. Does not seem unreasonable for a car as nice as this one, but market is not good for really early stuff like this.

Three 1950's Packards. Photos not great but I am seeing a '51 200, a '54 Clipper and a third car which looks to be a '52 200. Photos show front of cars only but ad states that all are four door models. Cars have been stored in a rickety open front shed on the verge of collapse. Ad states the cars were running when parked 40 years ago. That gives me a lot of confidence! Probably are parts cars but all of them do look intact. Seller asking $1,500 each. Pennsylvania:

1940 120 Club Coupe. Nice driver. Video shows car running and driving. Packard cream. See some small details that could use attention like the cracks in the banjo wheel and the missing radio and dash knobs. But overall, not too bad. Asking $18K. Wisconsin:

1930 733 Coupe. Nice older resto with dual mounts and wire wheels. Attractive Packard Blue and grey paint scheme. Beautiful, correct interior. Engine compartment could use some detailing as paint is peeling off the block. Car runs and drives. Wisconsin. Seller asking $36K:

1937 115C Touring Sedan. Abandoned restoration project, does not look like much has been done other than some disassembly. Great looking sheet metal: front clip looks almost mint. Maybe a good donor for another project. Seller asking $6K. Nebraska:

$1,500 each 😂

If they have basically no rust or rot then that is fair. But judging from the photos they are probably sunk into the ground and even if not almost none of these were parked in a low rust condition 40 years ago.

Oh, I don't know... The seller states:
This vehicle is in Perfect shape. . . . Some gauges not working.
That likely indicates that the person is not mechanically-inclined, or not inclined to do much to facilitate the sale. In either case, I suspect that there might be more things discovered upon a proper inspection. And for that kind of money, I bet there is going to be one (including for the use period-correct restoration materials, etc.).

Both of the doors appear to be not closing properly, at the bottom. I wonder what's up with that
