I can't really figure out what you mean by this. Once you press off the pulley hub then you will have the body, bearing assembly, seal, and impeller as one assembly. You need to press the bearing assembly out of the body and in doing so the seal and impeller will stay attached to the bearing assembly. Then once those are separated from the body, you might be able to press the impeller off of the bearing shaft. You will have to be extremely careful to use some sort of tool that only puts pressure on the brass insert of the impeller and distributes it evenly. The impeller is extremely brittle and I will honestly be surprised if this works without it breaking even doing it the most optimal way. The manual has a cross section.packardinfo.com/xoops/html/downloads/ser ... ual5556/Sect14_Radiator_Cooling.pdf

You don't even have to press on the bearing itself as the bearing races are built into the shaft. You can press the bearing out and have the seal come with it simply by pressing on the shaft. 😀

I’m following this to try to upstanding it for my own car. I need to change the impeller on a 1956 pump and it was explained to me in my 1956 Clipper blog but I didn’t quite follow it. Also, the pump is rebuilt and has no groove for the retainer so there isn’t one.

Yeah the retaining clip isn't necessary as long as the bearing is a press fit in. At least, that's how they are all rebuilt nowadays.
