I have a strong feeling that this car flipper is going to be sorely disappointed in this Packard. You could buy a well restored one for a lot less money these days. Big pre-war sedans just don't have many takers, especially ones that need a lot of work. I think he will have a hard time getting his original $10K back, if this is indeed what he paid, especially since the car apparently has side mounts added from a Henney professional car and not the correct ones. And I wonder about the mechanics. If that 356 needs a complete rebuild, it is going to get expensive.

1938 Six Touring Sedan. Old amateur restoration. Paint is incorrect with black fenders and red body, chrome is bad, and the interior was incorrectly done with modern fabric. J.C. Whitney "trumpeter swan" hood ornament. Dash looks like it was painted by hand with a brush. But body looks really solid. Ad states car was running but has been sitting for some time. Son selling for late dad's estate. Might be a decent project for someone. Asking $4,800. Virginia.
facebook.com/marketplace/item/603306776170220 1941 110 Deluxe Club Coupe. Needs total resto. Rusty floors but rest of body does not look too bad, though there is a lot of surface rust. Not running. Asking $6K (very ambitious given the condition). Michigan. facebook.com/marketplace/item/1102916368698272 1956 400. Abandoned restoration project. Family moving out of state and cannot take car with them. Partially disassembled and not running but is complete. This looks like a solid original car with original paint (Scheme ML - Dover White over Persian Aqua). Ad states 47K original miles and I think that this is probably accurate. Some minor body rust in usual places. Original interior actually looks pretty nice, and I think you could salvage most of it. Most of the chrome and trim look at least presentable as is. Has push button Ultramatic. Think this is a very worth project. Asking $5K. Illinois: facebook.com/marketplace/item/921920570142276 1958 Sedan. Very solid looking car looks sharp in Parchment White over Waterfall Blue. Has power windows and power brakes. Asking $4,900. Nebraska facebook.com/marketplace/item/1705686643269749 1921 116 Phaeton. First year Single Six. Looks like an old restoration but definitely presentable as is. Decent looking early Packard at a bargain price of only $15k. Kansas: facebook.com/marketplace/item/744544545245939 1956 Executive Sedan. Completely restored car with aftermarket air conditioning unit installed. Pushbutton Ultramatic. Appears to be Dover White over Holland Blue (Scheme MF) For sale by a dealer. Asking $15K. Louisiana: facebook.com/marketplace/item/795958266924150 1942 Clipper Six Club Sedan. Excellent original car with a very well-preserved original interior. See some minor damage to right rear fender and bumpers could use rechroming. But a rare model and one of the very last prewar Packards. Asking $10K. New Mexico: facebook.com/marketplace/item/755041664053111 1925 Model 236 Club Sedan. Nice older restoration that is very presentable and runs and drives well. Has disc wheels. Data plate indicates car was original sold by Earl C. Anthony. Asking $19,950. On the 1940 "Limo" - my other favorite line is "No title, but easily obtained." Who in their right mind would spend 40k on a not rare care with no title??? Best of luck to the seller.
