Regular ultras had a breather on top of case near back and an oil fill cap and dipstick on drivers side right behind bellhousing. Twins had breather on side and oil fill and dipstick out of pan. The actual transmission started production with some late 54 cars (Big Kev has one in his clipper) and was called gear start ultramatic.
