FILTER EXPERIMENT

Using the my OLD search for Packard parts of eBay I had
4382 items that were hits.

Using the following string to filter out the these Sellers from that same search:

[-carpartswholesale,discountbodyparts,daytodayimports,]

AND I found 1344 hits of Packard Parts on eBay tonight.

Net result:
- 3048 Moron Ads

That just goes to show how much crap those idiots put on there.

Yes, the filter is VERY necessary ....geez

Hmmm when I have more time I think I'll flip this topic and start one "dumb eBay buys I have made"

After getting on eBay today and noticing that there's a lot more people putting crap on there, I decided to refine my filter a little, here's the new one: Refined Ebay Search

This new search gets rid of these sellers:
-kfking, wolverine-diesel, hugozhackenabush, partsandplates, cowboydave157, ppt, bodyshopsupplies, falconglobal, californiacarcover, pepinski9, covercentral, petes_auto_data, sandler_trust_wholesale, car-colors, johnnieeldorado, jim3284, rubberroadmaster, thet-shirtguy, pitts-n8063, crackleandpop-com, waljoy1, oldnewparts, creyts, vintageautoliterature, daytodayimports, covershield, pcs_connectors, carpartsdiscount, detroit-the-motor-city, carpartswholesale, -discountbodyparts

And makes the search go from 9,0202 to 3,427. I'm really starting to hate these people.

I wonder if there is a way to systematically flood their site with questions/complaints/junk so that they suffer the same as we have been doing. I don't like junk mail but in this case...

I'm glad you guy's like it, I spent an hour going through over 20 eBay Packard pages trying to sift through all the crap to get to the good stuff. Car covers, Packard Electric electrical connectors, t-shirts, car ad reprints, etc. All crap when you're trying to find parts for your car. Most of this stuff belongs in regular eBay under "collectibles". There's a French word for what these people are, and I believe it's "Douche`".
