I came across this auction for a Packard Speedster recreation 'to be completed'. There are about 1/2 a dozen great Packard Speedster pics on the Ebay auction.

Thanks for the link. I'm not a fan of "created" cars, but that will make an interesting one. The dash cowl stamping is 1930, and although he goes out of his way to say it's a 1933 dashboard instrument panel, actually it's from a 1934 Twelve. I saw a basic repro steel body for a boattail Packard at Hershey 3 or so years ago, perhaps it's destined for this project.

PS - Perhaps I'm wrong, but I always thought the "brown bomber" nickname corresponded to Macauley's later speedster.

I think this was the first Brown Bomber. The 1930 cowl would probably be correct, as the original car started out life as a 1930 speedster runabout.

Yes. A cool project. Wish I had the time.
