Interesting to see how kind or unkind the years can be to two Packards which have not been restored:

1937 Packard

1936 Packard

with all respect to the owner of the 36, I think "all original" means "unmodified" instead of "unrestored"

I agree, that was my first impression also.

Granted, the '37 is MISSING a lot. But the sheet metal actually doesn't look too bad for being over 70 years old and basically untouched...

Hemming Classic Car this month, has an all original '37 or '38 Packard. Really low mileage, garage kept in New York state. It is a neat car.

You guys are right about the 1936

From the seller:

I am sorry, 25 years ago it was painted, the interior had seats and carpet redone in the grey wool, all work completed by shop that does work authorized by Packard club. the engine was completed overhauled, the engine is white glove clean.

Bill,
I see what you mean by "Opposite Ends of the Spectrum."
The second Packard DOES have a much better wax job!

[just kiddin']

Seriously, I have enjoyed articles in recent Hemmings publications, and Cadillac LaSalle Club this year about the fact that there are more
"frame-off restorations" out out there than
"maintained originals."
CLC actually have a judging process for
"unrestored originals" that seems to give them as much respect as "restorations."

I find that refreshing thinking.
