The Packard promo for their push-button is labeled as 1955.
Can't anybody here play this game? (Casey Stengel - mgr Mets)

Looks like a warmed over new Charger or something from Chrysler but with the Packard crests stuck all over it. Not really my thing. But to each their own.

It's like the Rolls-Royce of the last several years... Big, FAT and UGLY. It's like they're trying to make a tank look good.

Red hexagons, a hood ornament, and a grille with shoulders does not a Packard make!

To MIDAN
. . . but 12 cylinders, advanced suspension and flashy styling (ala 55/56) do make a Packard. I do agree the logo's are overdone, and I could do without the upright cormorant and think it deserves a longer wheelbase (perhaps that was a Michelin design limitation?).

I HATE IT! it looks like a chrysler 300 with a packard crest, definately a cheap imitation rather than true packard style engineering, i think they could have gone a lot further in maybe updating LIGHTLY the 52-54 body style in coupe or sedan, you could definately have something that way, just stay true to the original packard inginuity.
I hope they have better ideas than this.

Not a fan of the rather crude looking detailing and awkward shape, but if Packard were around today, the overall design would be influenced by aerodynamics, safety and gas mileage just as the rest of the industry is, not to mention trying to compete with the luxury segment's leading players, Benz, Cad, Lexus etc, so I suspect a current Packard would be not too radically different from those, but with distinctive Packard detailing and, of course, characteristic innovation and quality. One sure thing is that it wouldn't very likely be a warmed up early 50s design. It would LOOK like a 2010 car, just as a 56 looked like other 56s and 30s looked like 30s.

with firedome. it would be competeing with rolls, bently and the like. Throughout automotive history all marques have had their own styling, but it still (with a few exceptions) matched the trends of the time.
