Strange coincidence.

The stars on my 35 year old jacket are supposedly now available seperately on eBay. Maybe they could be used instead of custom machining the stars as u pictured. I believe thay are stamped sheet metal, i'm not sure. Never had one off or to fall off. THis one is gold. I have another one in silver on another jacket layning around here somewhere.

Im not sure this has ever been here one a discussion but i found this "old friend" and its still for sale as I see:
mat.fi/n_index.php?nav=gallery_view&gallery=forsale1949zis110&g=12
I saw the original papers of the car and there it said it was both from the Haapsalu military base somewhere in the early 90s. But I cant find the pictures ore the topic where this car was last discussed.
Gerd (Guscha) any comments on this one?

Seems the mystery around a local ZIS-110 that popped out suddenly, has been cleared,it belongs to a private collector I know.
I have to admit this collection is one of the best I have seen all the cars are restored or in factory condition.
What more could you want.

I add here a link from where more photos of the same collection can be seen:volga.ee/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=3067

When it comes to defeating her enemies I thought Russia owed most of its success to General January and General February.

Marshall Zhukov might have something to say about that... not to mention Konev, Vatutin, Rokossovskiy, Vasilyevskiy, and a few others. Heard of Kursk? That took place in July and August 1943.

Gusha, perhaps at least 2 different styles were used, see the pix of the plastic waterfall I just submitted on the thread specific to that query. I'll repost it here just for continuity. The photo is one of many I took of a 1950 parade car here in New Jersey just before it was shipped to Sweden about a year ago.

Thanks for the nice words, for setting the record straight about the speaker grilles, and for so many other ZIS details and contributions.

Wonder about sending an inquiry to then and now and maybe provide them with a paper patternmaritimedragracing.com/then_and_now_automotive.htm to see if they have something close or perhaps will sell a piece of proper material to make your own. If the diameter is correct, a couple of these look like possibilities.

Glad it worked. Just curious if you know-- did they have it ready on the shelf or make kits up special for your friend?

One tip from the East-side of Europe, if your ZIS 110 fuel pump sizes or just stops working, having mean while a major leak from the pump it self(cracked membranes). There is also a possibility of combining GAZ 53,ZIL-154,164 membranes and fuel pump parts to fix the ZIS-110 fuel pump.
I don't think this info will help anyone over seas but its something I know most East-Europe car crafts man would do in a situation like this.
