Those are obviously flathead tappets, and the Packard V8 is an OHV. The Cadillac 346 CID flathead V8 had removable tappet carriers like those. I dont remember exactly what the Caddy 346 tappet carriers look like, but I know that they are very similar to what you show here. Posted on: 2008/3/5 10:36

While the Cadillac did have removable tappet assemblies, it used hydraulic silenced type lifters. The ones shown have adjusting screws and locknuts. The search goes on ... Posted on: 2008/3/5 10:56
