You're welcome - though it's merely a little page-turning, with a dash of sleuthing on my part. I'm just happy to see others pitching in with the heavy lifting.

I need find some time to dig into my personal archive and check another resource on that one number - 438165.

PRINTING TIPS FOR THE PICTURES

If you want thew print to be as close as possible to original size, you need it to print at 150 dpi.

Screen and Printed color accuracy. The colors you will see will not accurately match new samples of the material shown. What you see should be pleasingly close; don't expect a perfect match.

If you want to come as close as possible to the original scans, print on a high quality photo printer using correct profiles for the paper and printer you are using. I'd suggest glossy or lustre finish paper over matte.The files are in Adobe RGB 1998 color space which is a fuller spectrum space.

Most commercial photo printers automatically correct for people pictures, not items like these. I would expewct considerable variation from such an outfit; this isn't what they do.

If this is all gibberish to you, look for a serious photographer; it will make sense to them. Or should.....

That stands for parts Group Number per the sections in the Parts List (aka Parts Manual).

I think once we have the filenames in a a consistent format and up in the photo archive, they I can do an import in to a database feature I can write. My preference is to have dashes between parts of the same thing (like the model numbers or set number) and underscores between the different pieces of information. This will help to parse it later.

Also I think the short hand needs to be expanded into real works. Imi Lea Drk Grn doesnt mean much to something that isnt familiar with the subject matter, nor is in search engine friendly. But ImitationLeatherDarkGreen or Imitation-Leather-Dark-Green is human readable, parsable, and also search engine friendly.

However, I still need research 438165 (from post #55), which did not turn up in either the 48-54 or 55-56 parts books - later this weekend, when I can find some time.

I still have eighty to convert and finish.

My approach to the crop a little different than patgreen's. I did a crop to a vertical and horizontal side of the material so as to give an unbiased view of the material itself without color contamination from the old file folder. My monitor display is set to middle gray, R=128, G=128, B=128, for color correcting in Photoshop so that I don't get my colors influenced by a non-neutral saturation or hue. The crop larger on the other vertical includes the tab file number, and especially the rubber stamp "no longer available" on some of the earlier files that patgreen did.

I have gone back and started to expand my captioning per the earlier conversations. My end will be finished Monday afternoon if what is below is acceptable.
