That gasket should last damn near for an eternity. Most likely the surfaces are not smooth, flat and parallel, or grossly unevenly tightened. If the ceramic coating was done recently, warpage of the manifolds would be high on the list of reasons.
Did you assemble the manifolds as a unit assembly and then install on the block?

I agree. I dont think the mounting surfaces are flat and level, and you have a gap where the exhaust is leaking from and that is causing the gasket to burn out at that point. Weakest link in the chain theory there.

I spoke with the supplier this morning and they've been using this same material for quite some time. Apparently the same as what's being used on race cars. I have to agree that the mated surfaces are not true. That's about the only thing it can be. When I reinstalled, they were assembled as a unit, then on the car. Thanks for the input.......... Steve P
