My next major project is to finish my 50 chevy street rod as a 4 door police car replica. As best i can tell, it's legal AS LONG as i don't run the lights and sirens on a public road or place connected to a public road (like a walmart parking lot).
But i can't WAIT to see what kind of issues i get from people like the ones that wanted to call the police on you on your fire truck or small town cops who just assume that you can't be driving a replica police car.

Careful what you wish for! I got stopped regularly by cops who just wanted to sniff it over. I only had one tail light (legal on an antique if it met regs when new); that was the usual. It got old fast.
