I try to find out what color the 1955 Caribbean had. Also, what was the color of the engine compartment, was it white?

I believe all 55 senior engines were ivory. Here is an examplepackardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=2209&cid=57 from a 400. There are several photos of 55 Caribbeans in the photo archivepackardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/myalbum/viewcat.php?num=10&cid=57 showing engine compartment. Some are color, others factory black and white.

thanks a lot.... I think my compartment was a sort of while before I stripped it.... but could have been ivory too... the trunk lid was the same color also, the underside I mean.

The engine was ivory but the firewall and inner fender splasher was typically body color -- in my 56 Carib HT, it is the white they used that year.
